WHAT: The Future of Fashion 2013 FIT Graduates Collection

WHERE: John E. Reeves Great Hall on the FIT Campus in NYC

The Future if Fashion is here again.  This highly anticipated The Future of Fashion runway show is presented at FIT at the conclusion of the fashion design student’s education  by the graduating students every Spring.  Industry critics composed of fashion designers mentor the students throughout their final semester to prepare them for presenting their best garments.

Here is what heeltote.com experienced this year on May 1, 2013 as the FIT graduating BA design students presented around 90 looks which were selected for presentation.  Keep heeltote.com posted about where your designs are next.

Outside, the red carpet was rolled out for the guests who were lined up around the building.  Inside, the John E. Reeves Great Hall on the FIT campus, the president of FIT, Joyce F. Brown, made opening remarks, followed by the runway show, and the announcement of the Award winners. 

“Judging by this year's presentation, fashion's future is looking good.” 

T he judging panel of fashion-media professionals who decided which looks made it onto the runway included representatives from Time, VH1, NBC, Elle, Saks Fifth Avenue, and a notable blogger.  Siempre Mujer decided the best use of color.  The looks were grouped into sportswear, special occasion, knitwear, intimate apparel, and children’s wear.  There were many looks that heeltote.com is excited about from The Future of Fashion show 2013 Graduates Collection.
